June is typically a big month for video games, with one of the largest showcases in the industry, E3, usually slated to take place during the month. E3 may be canceled this year, but there are still several intriguing showcases from developers to look forward to, as well as more than a few releases. May might have been a little quiet when it came to massive new titles, but June is more than picking up the slack with an array of video games to get players through the start of the summer.

A Month Packed Full Of Releases
The start of 2022 was pretty stacked with diverse games like Dying Light 2 Stay Human and Tunic, but the intervening months have seen a slower rollout of video games across the industry. With more eagerly awaited titles coming toward the end of the year, many players are impatient for the pace to pick back up, and June seems like it’s kicking things off once again with a hefty line-up of games. Here is the full list of releases for the month.

E3 is expected to make its return in 2023, but the video game industry seems to be moving on for the most part without it. There are already a number of big game events scheduled across the month, including Summer Game Fest and the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase. Players will be expecting plenty of huge announcements and insights into games in development, as well as hopefully a few surprises alongside the promising list of video game releases.
June’s Biggest Games
There is a long list of titles scheduled to release across the month, with a few heavy hitters among them. Games like the highly-anticipated spiritual successor to Until Dawn, The Quarry, will hopefully be offering plenty of scares through narrative-focused and choice-based gameplay. With the option of a Movie mode that will also remove interfering aspects like quick time events, The Quarry is aiming to be an immersive survival horror experience that is perfect for players looking for a thrill on a summer’s night.
Some games will be getting significant DLCs and expansions, like Outriders Worldslayer, Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course and The Elder Scrolls Online’s latest Chapter, High Isle. The latter is the latest highly-anticipated Chapter for ZeniMax Online Studios’ MMORPG and will give players the chance to explore never before seen areas of the world while starting a year-long Legacy of the Bretons storyline.
For those looking for a more sedate experience, June will also see the launch of Spiral Circus’ surreal underwater puzzle-adventure game Silt. Players will control a diver as they explore a bizarre underwater abyss in search of long-forgotten mysteries. With its monochromatic color scheme and focus on puzzle-solving, Silt looks reminiscent of Playdead’s Limbo and has the potential to be just as harrowing.
