Games to Look Out For in May

Perhaps the most aesthetically striking game releasing this month is Trek to Yomi, which hit shelves on May 5. The game, which is developed by Flying Wild Hog, is presented in black-and-white, and it is set in Japan during the Edo period. In this side-scrolling action game, players take control of a warrior named Hiroki, who is on the hunt to stop the people who are destroying his village. For players who want to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, Trek to Yomi is worth a try, and gamers will get to experience it on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

For fans of multiplayer games, there is Evil Dead: The Game which is set to release on May 13 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Developed by Saber Interactive, Evil Dead: The Game is based on the horror film franchise of the same name. Survivors must work together to fight Deadites, and players can improve their chances of survival by leveling up and unlocking new skills from the skill tree. As the game will be steeped in Evil Dead lore, it is certain to be a treat for fans of the franchise.

Players who love tactical shooter games have not been left out in the cold, as Sniper Elite 5 is scheduled to release on May 26. The game centers on Karl Fairburne, who is tasked with traveling to France to stop a secret Nazi project. As usual, the game does not shy away from gore, and long-distance kills will trigger the x-ray kill cam which shows how the bullet obliterates the bones and organs of enemies. Sniper Elite 5 will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
